The hardware needed to run DZ-Manager is moderate: a 900 Mhz PC with 256 MB RAM is OK, more is better of course.
However DZ-Manager does support all kind of devices like Barcode-scanner, SmartCard-Readers or RFID-Tags to speed up managing your work. See the DzM-Cards-page for more info.
Example No. 1:
With a SmartCard-Reader connected to the manifesting PC your customers can manifest using their Health-Chip-Chard issued by their health insurer. The Chip-Chard is not altered for this. In Addition, you can write special blank cards and create you own DZ-Card.

cost per card: about 1,- EUR
Example No. 2:
With a BarCode-Scanner connected to a PC at the flight line, print-outs can be identified by a barcode.
cost scanner: about 100,- EUR
cost per card: about 0,10 EUR
Example No. 3:
With a RFID-Receiver at the flight line and skydivers carrying a RFID-Tag DZ-Manager recognizes when people are at the flight line and sets their status accordingly. Especially useful for students.
cost scanner: about 200,- EUR
cost per RFID-Tag: about 1,50 EUR
